HARDWOOD FLOOR INSTALLATION & PROJECTS

Mooresville Media Room Makeover

We were initially hired by Mrs. Kate to perform a screen and recoat on the hardwood floors on her main floor, and the results spoke for themselves! She was so impressed with the transformation that she brought us back for more work—this time, to install new hardwood floors in her second-floor media room and master bedroom downstairs. The media room also featured a kitchenette with ceramic tile, which we carefully removed and replaced with beautiful hardwood to create a seamless look.

One of the key challenges was matching the stain to the existing floor, but our expertise ensured a perfect match, bringing everything together beautifully.

The end result was stunning, and Mrs. Kate was thrilled, leaving us a glowing 5-star review. She was so happy with the transformation that even her new neighbors took notice and hired us to refinish their home! The only tough part about this job? Resisting the temptation to jump into Lake Norman for a quick dip!

If you’re looking to refresh your floors or add the beauty of hardwood to new areas, we’d love to help you achieve the same satisfaction!”

Marshville, NC Sub-Floor Installation

This beautiful 100-year-old home had its fair share of challenges, including several soft spots, rotted wood planks, and uneven, spotted stain areas. These issues are common in older homes, so it was no surprise to us! The homeowners, Noah and his wife, were particularly concerned about the safety of their two young children running around, and like many, they initially thought the floors might be an easy fix.

During our initial inspection, we discovered there was no subfloor, and over 50% of the wood planks were rotten. We informed Noah of our findings and explained the necessary repairs. Understanding the importance of a safe and stable floor, he quickly approved our recommendations.

Phase 1: We began by ordering new pine floor planks and allowed them to acclimate to the home’s environment for 5-7 days to ensure a perfect fit.

Phase 2: Next, we removed the existing floor, installed sister joists for added support, and put in a brand-new subfloor to provide a solid foundation.

Phase 3: Finally, we installed the new pine flooring, then sanded and refinished it to bring out its natural beauty.

The result was a stunning, safe, and durable floor that not only enhanced the character of this historic home but also gave Noah and his family peace of mind. If you have a project that needs careful attention to detail and quality craftsmanship, we’re here to help make your home both beautiful and safe.”

Waxhaw, NC Engineered Hardwood Installation

The Jose Family recently moved from up North to be closer to their daughter and grand baby. Their previous home had hardwood floors throughout, and they wanted a similar feel in their new home, which mostly had engineered hardwood floors except for one room and the laundry room. In the laundry room, we installed luxury vinyl plank over the existing linoleum for durability and moisture resistance.

In the other room, which had carpet, we opted for glued-down engineered hardwood floors to match the rest of the home, given that the house is on a concrete slab.

After removing the carpet and installing the new engineered hardwood, we allowed time for the flooring to settle. Then we sanded, stained, and refinished the entire main floor along with the staircase to ensure a seamless, cohesive look throughout the house.

The result was a beautifully unified space that perfectly matched the rest of the home, making the Jose Family feel right at home again.

Charlotte Hardwood Floor Refinish

Project Trade Street involved a condo located across from the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The homeowner, Evan, came home to find a backed-up garbage disposal, which caused water damage. The insurance company's mitigation team initially removed some hardwood planks near the dishwasher, but during our inspection, we identified two additional areas of concern.

After assessing the situation, we ordered the necessary hardwood floors and materials. Evan chose a stylish Silver Grey oil-based stain, which we topped with a satin water-based finish for a sleek and modern look.

The final result not only repaired the damage but also refreshed the overall aesthetic of the condo."
